Parking at Disneyland

When you visit Disneyland, what’s the best thing to do with your car?

1. Stay at a nearby hotel and walk. This is an excellent option for guests at Disney’s Grand California or the Disneyland Hotel, and still OK if you stay at Paradise Pier Hotel. There are also some great options in non-Disney hotels. If you can get a hotel within a half-mile (800 m) walk, of the park, leave your car at the hotel and walk to the parks. The line of hotels on S Harbor Blvd between the intersections with Katella on the south, and Manchester on the north, are all at a decent walking distance.

2. Use the Toy Story Lot, just opened in March of 2010. Boasting 2,678 new spaces, this lot is located just east of the Anaheim Convention Center, on Harbor just south of the city Convention Center. It’s $14 a day and free for Premium annual pass holders.

3. Use the Mickey & Friends lot on the northwest of the park (1313 S Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802). If you want to come out at Downtown Disney, this lot puts you closer. It’s good to know this option is available, but people seem to like the big new Toy Story parking lot on the southwest of the park.

Enjoy your time at the park, and wherever you park, do your best to get through the gates early. The early bird doesn’t wait in line!
